Softie Workshop

I have some rather exciting news to tell.

Wicked Child Designs will not only be selling softies at the BrisStyle Indie Eco Market in Hamilton on Saturday 6th of November, but running a softie workshop too!

Our workshop at Redland City Council's Capalaba Library early this year proved to be very successful, and I have decided to run another because it's just so lovely meeting you all at the same time!

I will be on hand to provide help with constructing a basic softie, and all the materials will be provided on the day so you can have it finished to take home.  You can then keep it for yourself, give it to someone for Xmas, or even donate it to Softies For Mirabel!

Seats are limited and priced at a bargain $15 each, so book a seat quick smart by emailing us now  - wickedchilddesigns@yahoo.com.au

Awesome

Some awesome stuff happened in June.  Like appearing in Frankie Magazine for starters.

The Beatles set are now at Bleeding Heart Cafe Gallery, along with
Julia Gillard and Kevin Rudd.

And my auntie Teresa was honoured on the Queen's Birthday Order of Australia list in the General Division for her service to aged welfare and to charitable organisations.  This is well deserved recognition of her long years of dedicated service.

Awesome stuff.   Love it.

Softie Tutorial - this Saturday

Would you like to make a softie, but don't know how ?  Fear not my friends.  I'll be at the Capalaba Library this Saturday from 10 till 12 to give a basic softie tutorial.  We'll be making 'Lucy's Monster' from the book 'Softies' (it's the little pink wobbly dude on the front of the book above).

It's a free class, no materials are needed, and at the end you get to keep the softie you made. How sweet is that ?!  Make a booking by calling the library on 3843 8038 or email Sally Paris sally.paris@redland.qld.gov.au  Be quick though as seats are filling up fast.

Softies For Mirabel 2009

I'm always keen to help people in need, especially at xmas time. Today I have posted two softies (Helpful Hannah and Bad Benjamin) down to Meet Me At Mike's in Melbourne for the Softies For Mirabel Appeal, organised by Meet Me At Mike's and The Mirabel Foundation. They support over 700 kids, and each softie donated will be given to a child currently supported by The Mirabel Foundation. Head to the Meet Me At Mike's blog for more info here. xo Teneale
