I've started making some brooches using old children's books and heart shaped pieces of wood. I bought the unwanted books from Vinnies, and gave them a new life in cute little brooches. One of my favourites from childhood was George's Marvellous Medicine by Roald Dahl, which I have used for these. I have listed them on Etsy, and they are all one of a kind.

I was just flicking through my copy of George the other day, wondering how many times I read it as a child. Just about all the pages are falling out. I can't wait until my boys are big enough to appreciate the fabulous world of Roald Dahl!
