Wednesday

Today I bought this shirt at my local Vinnie's op shop for $3. Yes $3. I don't think I've ever spent so little on a shirt. I couldn't wait to get home and try it on. It made an exceptionally boring and horrible work day turn out completely lovely. It's kind of retro looking with a hawaiian flower print on the back, with little lace frills added to the front. I also bought some more hankies (which are in the wash now)for screenprinting which made the trip even better !! Did you have as lovely a day as me ? xo Teneale

Vince Noir

Say hello to our newest member in Wicked Child Designs, Mr Vince Noir. He loves to dance, hates jazz, and spends at least 5 hours on his hair per day. Yes I am a Mighty Boosh fan. And yes I like baileys. xo Teneale

A brief rundown...

Wow this week has flown. Sorry followers, I'm losing track of what day it is with all the work on at present. As you may or may not be aware, I work full time as an office manager and then do Wicked Child Designs from 6 till sometimes midnight. The days are starting to fly by quicker as both get busier. Last Saturday Tim and I met up with Thea and crew at the Thea and Sami studio. Very interesting watching the fabrics being printed, and also came home with goodies. Thursday night we went to the Brisbane ABCD meet up run by Bondville and Udessi. A fun night of chatting, beer swigging and relaxing was had, and also receiving a bag of goodies. Kind of like a birthday party, without the crazy drinking games. Then Sunday I went to Brown Owls, and scored this awesome little foxy squirrel brooch from Rebecca (Edward and Lilly) in the Brown Owls xmas swap. I've named him Fantastic Mr Fox. Thank you Rebecca xo. And yesterday I scored a Little Mary Moo babushka purse from Therese at the BrisStyle xmas swap. Thank you Therese xo. We also said our goodbyes to Alison and Tony from Pretapawte. They will be heading down to Canberra at the end of November. Below are a couple of their collars I bought for two puppy dogs this xmas. We shall talk again soon. xo Teneale

Friday I'm in Love

I love Fridays. The end of a working week, followed by two whole days of crafting, sleep ins and spending time with family and friends. This Friday I'm in love with screen printing. I stayed up all night having an awesome time printing off these hankies that were discarded at Reverse Garbage for a better life. They are unused and have been washed, don't fret peoples... I'll be printing off some more tonight with different words. Any thoughts on what I've done so far ? Tomorrow I'll be seeing screen printing queen Thea (Thea and Sami) for her open studio day (can't wait to do some xmas shopping there). Then Sunday I'm taking part in a Yudu screen printing tutorial with Katy from What Katy Did at Brown Owls. Golly I'm going to be all screenprinted out... Have a lovely weekend peoples. xo Teneale ps. Thea, I love my mushroom tea towels - they are awesome !!

Wednesday

Today I wore my fave new headband from Black and Bird I picked up from the Finders Keepers market recently. I'm not much of a headband person, in fact this is my only headband. But I loved this one so much I couldn't let it go. It's made using an old measuring tape. Very sweet. Sorry I don't have a website to give you, but here is the link on Finders Keepers and her email is loni_parker@yahoo.com.au xo Teneale

Josh Thomas

When Tim and I went to Melbourne last month, we went saw Josh Thomas do stand up at the Lithuanian Club. He did an awesome show as always, but he didn't have time for autographs at the end. I was kinda down after that, as through the show I'd been tossing up whether or not I ask for an autograph or not. I'd never done this before, and it felt kind of a weird thing to do. And then after deciding I would, I didn't get to. The next day Tim and I went shopping at Rose St Markets and Brunswick St shops, and Tim spotted Josh going into a shop ahead of us. It was now or never - eek. Like a stalker, I followed him and got a cute autograph. Oh and on the night of the show I got this shadow shot on the ceiling of the club. Have you got a shadow shot you want to share ? Go to Hey Harriet's page and learn how to join in the Shadow Shot Sunday fun. xo Teneale

Friday I'm in Love

Oops I haven't done a blog post in a long time. Sorry peoples. I've been putting all my attention towards sewing and creation, and I really should start putting more effort into my blog. One of my all time favourite books is Where The Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak. So here is a couple I've made up recently. Please comment what you think of them, I love feedback on my creations !
